Valentine's B.S.

So if you know me you know that Valentine's Day is my least favorite holiday. This is not because I am currently single, but because my birthday is the day after and it always has to take a back seat to it. So this is why I am having a double b-day celebration this weekend, but the first one I am sharing with two of my best friends Sarah and Chris who are the 14th and 13th respectively. the second celebration is a brunch with some friends on Sunday at the Independent b/c I really enjoy celebrating my b-day on its actual day and I have to be honest, with my unemployment, I have to squeeze as much joy out of the things I can at the moment and my b-day is the only thing that I can have some control over.

Now onto another V-day rant, I was channel surfing today and came across Twin Cities Live doing a spot on what single gals can do with their friends on V-day. Apparently all they could come up with a bowling at Memory Lanes or Bryant Lake Bowl. Well obviously they didn't do much research b/c BLB, is always busy, especially on Saturday, and is considered a "date spot" so that was bad advice. They also mentioned that V-day isn't only for romantic couples but celebrates all loving relationships that one has in his/her life. Um yeah, that is what I have always thought it was all about.

Thankfully a friend came through and figured out what my V-day plans will be.......spend the evening at O'Donovans catching up with a friend who had moved away and counting down until midnight when my birthday begins! Yeah!!!! And before that begins, I'm sure I will be nursing a hangover from the festivities the evening before.

Alright, done ranting about V-day, on to a little more job searching and pico de gallo making.
